The opportunity

Tiled is looking for a self-motivated and highly collaborative Trainer/Instructional Designer with a customer-first mindset to join our team of passionate people who are revolutionizing the world of interactive experiences.

As a Trainer/Instructional Designer, you will be the primary contact for providing training and educational content on the Tiled platform. You will become an expert in our product, capable of explaining interactive design methodology, Tiled features and functions and best practices to customers and partners. Organizationally, you will be part of the Customer Success organization and will also work closely with the Product, Experience and Sales teams.


What you’ll do

Specifically, we are looking for someone with a customer-first mindset who will:

  • Work with the Customer Success Managers to help onboard new customers with virtual training to set them up for success.
  • Create engaging, hands-on learning activities and compelling course content that enhance retention
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Update and create training/education collateral that will be live on our website
  • Consolidate all training materials to ensure access, consistency and correctness
  • Collaborate with the Product team to ensure we are accurately explaining new features and added them to existing content
  • Collaborate with the Experience team to create web content and microapps to showcase the Tiled product
  • Provide live and virtual training sessions as needed for Professional Services engagements



What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of educational technology, training, and/or instructional design experience in a SaaS or software company.
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Proficient in design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma)
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Proven track record of working in a customer facing role
  • Passion for collaborating cross-functionally to provide the best experience for our customers
  • Experience working with, and managing, stakeholders and customers
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach, able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change
  • Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “can do” attitude
  • Abundant patience and customer empathy along with the ability to communicate accordingly.
