What is a microapp?

The Opportunity

As an Experience Designer at Tiled, you’re responsible for working cross-functionally to improve the customer’s experience with Tiled across channels. You’ll be working on research-driven projects and initiatives that focus primarily on opportunities around improving user adoption, education, and onboarding. Organizationally, you’ll be part of the Experience team and work closely with the Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Executive teams, as well as other designers.

What you’ll do

  • Lead on-the-ground design and research efforts for cross-team Lab projects
  • Conduct design thinking workshops and research interviews with both internal and external stakeholders and co-design new services, systems, and experiences.
  • Collect both qualitative and quantitative research on current and potential experiences to understand user journeys
  • Create journey maps, data visualizations, flow charts, and research presentations to unify internal stakeholders
  • Design for a variety of media and touchpoints, including responsive web, microapps, video, and email.
  • Work with our Customer Success team to improve the digital experience as customers adopt Tiled.
  • Design and facilitate capability-building experiences, including instructional materials, training, and toolkits.
  • Work closely on our demo account to discover insights and opportunities and design innovative solutions.
  • Work with other designers to think strategically about brand UX and design efforts

Successful Candidates will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design
  • Ability to use skills from UX/UI, service design, design research, and design strategy to think creatively about solutions
  • Willingness to work on a high level to map strategic goals and journeys, but also to get hands-on in designing and wireframing solutions
  • Ability to iterate quickly and experiment with new solutions with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Fluency with digital design tools including Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, Non and Invision.
  • Knowledge of human-centered design and ability to conduct interviews, write surveys, surface narratives from data, and facilitate workshops
  • Strong conceptual thinking and execution in both visual and user experience design.
  • Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
